Update: Comment and Email Changes

I've changed my blogs to no longer accept anonymous comments. This was a bit of a difficult decision because I always thought anonymous comments were fine. My reason is because I've been getting hit by a lot of advertisements lately. Odd because I had not experienced this in my first two years, but now here they are.

Most are being caught by my Blogger 30-day trigger: after 30 days comments must be approved before they are posted. But it still gets to be annoying to get a message every time an ad shows up.

Since I don't get a lot of comments anyway, and those that do comment usually don't do so anonymously, I went ahead and removed this. I have also removed my email address from my Blogger profile since my Google profile provides a safer online contact utility.

Info: Current Blogging Goal

I'm going to try to blog daily for a while on my various blogs. Other things have been consuming my time so I have a backlog in my brain. I've been continuing to make a lot of transitions inside my head, gearing myself up to move in a certain direction, and this has made me a bit mute lately.

I'm not making a promise, only setting a bar for myself for which I may fail miserably. But in any case I will learn and set new goals where appropriate. Thanks to anyone reading and/or commenting.

Info: Google Friend Connect

I'm a big Google fan, mostly because they give me a lot of free stuff. It's not like they are giving me stuff they aren't giving other people, so it's not like I'm the only one getting it. We don't have that kind of relationship, but that would be cool (nudge, nudge, know what I mean?).

So now I've discovered Google Friend Connect, mainly because I've also discovered that I'm already using it. Maybe I should say that I've discovered that I have been using Google Friend Connect and just now realized that I could take even more advantage of Google than I have done so previously. (I just love it when people allow me to take advantage of them. All ego maniacs do.)

Ok, I think the friend part still a little creepy like all those other Internet "friend" social tools. I was playing PS3 the other day with someone in my online "friends" list and the guy was being a bit of an annoying wanker, so I politely said I had to go do something (nudge, nudge, know what I mean?). I quit the game session I was playing with him, and while I did in fact plan on doing something, I wanted to finish up what I couldn't with him around first. The guy tracks me down and asks me why I lied to him and stated I'm not really his friend. Really? You just figured that out? Let me clue you in. Those hundreds of people on my "friends" list haven't been invited over to kick back a few either.

Maybe Google should have called it Google "Friend" Connect (quotes included) or Google Vague Acquaintance Connect or Google You're a Bit too Creepy for Physical Contact but Let's Just Say Friend for Simplicity Sake Connect. It doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but I think that last one might catch on after a bit.

In any case, as always I'm impressed by Google's work and the little work they make me do, so I don't mind pimping a bit for them. And I needed to mentioned that y'all might see some new gadgets popping up on my blogs soon so head's up.
